The Hood Tech Guy

Bringing Tech to the Hood

Hood Tech Guy

Who I Am

I’m from the west side of Chicago, and I’ve been in tech for over 10 years.

I got introduced to technology through a nonprofit called D.E.E.P., and that experience opened my eyes to a whole different world.

At the time, I was raising six kids while trying to learn something complex that wasn’t built for people like me.

Most of what I was learning came from a completely different background—not the hood, not my reality.

My Story

Learning tech wasn’t easy. It was confusing, complicated, and not explained in a way that connected to where I came from.

But I stayed consistent. I kept learning, kept building, and kept pushing through.

Through that process, I started to see a gap—the disconnect between technology and people in my community.

That gap is what pushed me to do something different.

What I Do

Today, I’m a programmer, web developer, SEO marketer, and tech educator.

I build websites, help businesses grow online, and teach people how to actually understand and use technology.

I take complex tech concepts and break them down so even someone with no background can start to feel confident.

My Mission

My mission is simple: bring tech to the hood.

That means making it understandable, relatable, and useful—not complicated or intimidating.

If I can learn this from where I started, I know I can break it down in a way that helps somebody else learn it too.

Why It Matters

Technology isn’t just about coding—it’s about opportunity.

There’s money in this field. There’s independence in this field. There’s growth in this field.

Too many people are locked out simply because nobody explained it in a way that made sense.

I’m here to change that.

Let’s Build

Whether you need a website, want to learn tech, or want to bring digital skills to your community—I’m here to help.
